By purchasing any products from this website or commissioning a portrait, you, the buyer, agree to the terms outlined below. Copyright belongs to Jenny Knight, and therefore no permission is given to reproduce any images or materials from this website (or commissioned works) without prior consent. If you wish to use an image, please contact the artist directly. All Rights Reserved.
Returns and Exchanges
Jenny Knight Studios will provide a full refund for any purchased goods you are dissatisfied with, excluding commissioned portraits that have been approved and non-refundable deposits. Faulty or unsuitable items may be returned for a refund or exchange if they are received within 14 days of the original delivery date, in brand-new, unused condition, and in the original, undamaged packaging.

Please also indicate whether you are requesting a refund or a replacement. Jenny Knight reserves the right to make the final decision on refunds. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to contact Jenny Knight directly.
Refunds will be issued to the original credit/debit card used for purchase unless otherwise agreed. Refunds are typically processed within 30 days of approval. If a replacement item is of lower value than the returned goods, the difference will be refunded to your original payment method. If a replacement of higher value is requested, the additional amount will be charged to your original payment method.
You will receive an email notification when your refund or replacement has been processed. If the item is deemed not defective, you will need to cover the return shipping costs. Proof of postage is required for any items lost during return transit. Refunds or replacements will not be processed without this proof. It is strongly recommended that you obtain a Proof of Postage receipt or courier documentation when returning items.
Website Images
Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of images on the Jenny Knight Studios website. However, colours may vary slightly due to differences in individual screens. Jenny Knight retains copyright on all artworks and reserves the right to use photographs of commissioned works for promotional purposes, including on the website and social media platforms.
Guarantee & Amendments
If you do not approve the finished portrait, no further payment is required. The artwork will remain the property of Jenny Knight. Once the completed portrait has been approved and shipped, no refunds will be issued due to the custom nature of the work.
Clients can request adjustments based on reference photos at no extra charge. However, if these changes significantly differ from the original commission, an additional fee may apply. No changes can be made once the artwork has been approved.
Delivery & Postage
Portraits are carefully packaged, and shipped once final payment and approval have been received. Orders are sent via 24hr tracked and signed for postage, with delivery typically on the next working day (please allow longer during busy periods, such as Christmas). International orders are on a case-by-case basis.
For gifts, items can be shipped directly to the recipient. Please provide the recipient’s address when placing your order. Most items are dispatched within 3–5 business days after the portrait is completed.
In the rare event of damage during transit, please photograph the packaging and the artwork immediately and email Jenny Knight. The portrait must be returned in its original packaging. A replacement will be created at no additional cost, but the lead time will depend on the current waiting list.
Timescale
An estimated completion date will be provided at the time of booking. While every effort is made to meet this timeline, it is not guaranteed. For specific deadlines, please contact Jenny Knight as early as possible. Note that September to December is the busiest time of the year. Ideally, Christmas commissions should be booked 4–6 months in advance to account for increased demand and holiday shipping times.
VAT, Import Tax & Duties
Customers are responsible for any VAT, import taxes, or duties incurred on delivery. Jenny Knight cannot be held liable for these additional charges.
Exchange Rates
Currency conversions displayed on the website are for guidance only. Payments will be processed based on current exchange rates determined by PayPal or your bank at the time of payment. Jenny Knight is not responsible for changes in exchange rates.
Portrait Prices
Portrait prices are listed on the "Commissions" page of the website. If a deposit has been paid before a price increase, the original price at the time of booking will be honoured.
Cancellations
A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to secure a commission. If the client cancels the commission before work has begun, the 40% deposit will be retained. Once work has started, no refunds will be issued, and the deposit will remain non-refundable.
Payment
To book a portrait commission, a 40% non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance must be paid in full after the client approves the completed portrait and before dispatch. Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal. Please contact Jenny Knight to discuss payment in instalments. Portraits will not be shipped until the final balance is cleared.
All other products, including prints, greeting cards, and gift certificates, must be paid in full at the time of ordering.
Jenny Knight Studios operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Waiting times can be up to six months, so clients are encouraged to confirm timelines for their orders in advance.
